We are pleased to welcome James O’Donnell back to Christ Church as this year’s Musician in Residence. One of the most celebrated concert organists, choral conductors, and liturgical musicians of our time, he served for more than a decade as Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral and for more than two decades as Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, both in London. In 2023, Mr. O’Donnell left London for a position on the faculty of the Institute of Sacred Music and the School of Music at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He joins us to rehearse and direct the Christ Church Choir and will share about his musical career in a forum, “Westminster to New Haven.” All are welcome at the weekend’s events:

Saturday, March 1

• 1:30-3:30 PM Open Rehearsal with the Christ Church Choir in the Church

Sunday, March 2

• 9:50 to 10:20 AM Forum: “Westminster to New Haven” in the Parish Hall
• 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist in the Church
• 3:30 PM Organ Prelude by David Hearn, retired assistant organist, Christ Church Christiana Hundred
• 4:00 PM Choral Evensong, followed by a reception in the back of the Church
